The last remaing occupant of Sovereign House is to close at the end of the month ater 23 years in the town.

Bonnie Babies has been served notice by the landlord as a question mark hangs over the building, which has been on the market for a number of years.

The government building is in a poor state of repair after a series of agencies have relocatied, including the county court, tax office, Job Centre and Department for Work & Penions, all of whom were served by the nursery.

Any redevelopment of the site would have to include the nuclear bunker beneath the building, which was constructed in the mid-sixties.
