Rock in the Castle - First Time experience

We went down to Rock in the Castle on Sunday which was the first time as when my son was younger we were always busy with his sport and hobbies or away on holiday. However as a newbie I really enjoyed it. The only reason I didn't love it was the heat and the Inability to keep cool (I really struggle...

Re: Restaurant/takeaway ideas

Be nice to have somewhere 100% Vegetarian / Vegan I don't think it would work. I am not vegetarian but enjoy vegetarian dishes so probably only eat meat/fish etc in half my dinners. The problem would be if I was vegetarian and my husband wasn't (and wanted meat) then we would go somewhere that cate...

Re: Two Murders in Two Months

I was completely oblivious to this despite being at home all day yesterday, although I do live on the far side of Sele, nowhere near Farm Close.

Re: New trains on Hertford North route announced

On the train in to work yesterday one of the new trains passed me going North and pulling about eight or ten freight trucks. I don't know how long the passenger part was, as I looked up as it passed so only caught the last carriage, and then all the freight trucks. It was a shorter formation then th...

Re: New timetable from Hertford North - May 2018

Friday was awful. Person on the wires at Kings Cross, failed train at Moorgate and so I switched to Liverpool St and then that went down with signal failures. Both lines went down.

Not a fun time had by anyone

Re: Waiting at Hertford North

I looked at website too and couldn't see anything. On the board it said something about waiting places, I forget the exact workind, but it was something like "If there are waiting places, you could use these for 5 minutes". But we couldn't see any, the board could have been a standard board with sta...

Waiting at Hertford North

Every now and then, maybe twice a month, my partner picks me up from Hertford North. He always parked in the car park to avoid the chaos on the forecourt but no he noticed that there are ANPR cameras enforcing payments. Whilst I agree with this in principle, he couldn't find out about waiting times ...

Re: New timetable from Hertford North - May 2018

GTR have said that they will introduce an interim timetable on 15 July. This, allegedly, is one that they say they will be able to run with far fewer issues than the current timetable. Playing devil's advocate, what if this timetable turns out to be something like a weekend timetable where there ar...
