There are fewer seats on the new trains.

Re: New trains on Hertford North route announced

From what I've gleaned from the train geeks on twitter, there are now 3 trains that are running limited services (Moorgate to Gordon Hill) and they will be brought into full service on 28 January. The remaining units will then be phased in over the next 3 months.

The whole project will be finished by 2021.

Re: New trains on Hertford North route announced

Has anyone noticed the posters at Hertford North regarding the new trains? All of the new trains are 6 carriages (and you can walk the whole length of the train without going through any doors). The posters at Hertford North say that if you intend to get off at any station between Highbury & Islingt...

Re: New trains on Hertford North route announced

There's actually a "soft preview" service that runs on Friday afternoons from Moorgate to Gordon Hill. It leaves Moorgate around 1430. From what I've seen it runs non-stop from Finsbury Park to Gordon Hill.

Re: Key smartcard at Hertford North

My card is working again now. It seems that some cards were working and others not. I was asked to provide the barrier staff with the number on my card and then yesterday evening the barriers finally let me through.

That causes a bit of an issue as I then have a load of incomplete journeys on my history and have to check my acc...
