As at the time of writing, you have made 17 posts on this forum and 16 are aimed at FCC in quite a nasty tone. It seems you take every opportunity to take a pop at them...

Re: The storm

They're running an off-peak service but charging peak prices.

The storm

In readiness for some winds that may or may not come later on today (much later), First Capital Connect saw it wise to decimate this morning's service along the Hertford Loop. What a shambles of an organisation. Can I ask anyone who is dissatisfied with this cowboy outfit to contact their local MP. ...

Re: Train Cancellation/Station Skipping

well if in the operators favour means that one service is mullered but subsequent services are therefore on time, then that is clearly also in the customers favour too. If the service continues then potentially it will remain late all day long. there's no other way to do it. however; I've never see...

And on Friday...

...it is a number of drivers deciding not work their rest day which means First Capital Connect's timetable falls apart. Including this little gem: 16:59 Stevenage to Moorgate due 18:03 More info This train will be terminated at Hertford North. This train will no longer call at Bayford, Cuffley, Cre...

... a faulty train at Finsbury Park which meant we were all turfed off. Carriages in next train were freezing (thermostats are broken so heating is either off or full on).

25 minutes late, 5 minutes short of being able to claim compensation.

Re: It's Wednesday so it must mean trouble on the trains

Irrespective of how it is funded, the service provided by First Capital Connect and Network Rail is shambolic.

Re: It's Wednesday so it must mean trouble on the trains

PART funded by the tax payer.. With the current government trying hard to reduce that through increased fare prices and efficiency gains. Network Rail is currently financed by borrowing money. "All debt that NRIF has issued is directly and explicitly backed by a guarantee from the Secretary of Stat...

Re: It's Wednesday so it must mean trouble on the trains

Any money we claim from First Capital Connect due to infrastructure problems (e.g. signalling failures) is then counter-claimed by First Capital Connect from Network Rail. Network Rail is funded by....the taxpayer?
