Re: Ticket machines at Hertford North.

I tweeted Great Northern (are they due a name change as I don't think Hertford counts as the North?) about the staff (whose conversation is far more interesting than ever doing their job obviously!) and got a 'we'll talk to the manager response.... I think the manager is probably a figment of someon...

Re: locked gates at Hertford East

I threw in an email to them and got fobbed off with the same 'staff safety' excuse but they didn't actually explain the basis of any of these. I have noticed that they do still open the gates every now and then but they do lock them at night even though there does't appear to be any staff in the sta...

Re: Website, etc for GN route from 14 September

Anybody noticed any improvements in service as yet? All I've seen is a slightly cack handed attempt to remove the FCC logos and lettering front the sides of the trains....

Re: Rigsby's Restaurant

I can concur as I went in for lunch a few weeks ago and the new set up is very convivial with good quality food. I had a beetroot risotto which was tasty and well cooked :D

Kitchen fitter

Hi all I'm looking for a kitchen fitter to retro fit some improvements to an existing kitchen (whoever designed our kitchen could never have cooked more than a boiled egg). Can anyone recommend someone who doesn't mind doing a smallish job (mainly putting better fittings into existing units plus som...

Re: Abellio abandon Hertford East

They've sacked all the cleaners to employ more staff to check tickets obviously! This is the only bit of the service that they seem able to manage, the running of it appears beyond them. There's definitely no time for customer service

Food swapping comes to Hertford

All Not sure whether anyone else would like to come along to this but I went to the first one and came back with a fab haul of beer, chilli sauce, bread and biscuits in return for various jams. So if you're interested in local food the next one Sat 21st June. Full details at: @foodswaphertfor http:/...
