The Sainsburys story rings true. I believe Morrissons have pulled out of an application for a new store In Hemel Hempstead as they were weren't allowed to build petrol tanks by the river.

'gridlock'? 'a traffic jam so bad that no movement is possible''? Really? I think we need some perspective here. It may not be as free-flowing as some would like but it does all move.

Thankfully we are fortunate enough to have very good schools in Hertford. And although the traffic (if you really have to drive) is routinely described as a 'nightmare' it is nowhere near as bad as our larger towns like St Albans and Watford where parents regularly stew in traffic for 40 minutes to ...

Many cars have automatic light switching just as windscreen wipers can be controlled by rain sensors. But none, as far as I know, have fog detectors.
