Re: Bircherley Green

I was in one of the pubs in town earlier this week, and at the table next to me two gentlemen were talking (sober by the way!). Re: Climate Emergency Declared

May be a moot point as electric cars enter the mainstream. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-49022684 That said, bosses at County Hall are well aware of the traffic issues resulting from staff travelling to and from CH. They're also aware of the inadequacy of east-west public transport in the coun...

Urban Foxes

Are there any stats on local urban foxes? I quite often see them late at night or during the early hours. Has anyone tried mapping their presence around and about the town?

Indicative cycle lanes are completely pointless and offer no additional protection to cyclists whatsoever. They're just ...

Re: Vehicle crime

It seems the saga of car crime continues with Owl reporting "In-between 2320hrs 7/6/19 and 1000hrs 8//6/19 offender[s] have committed a theft from vehicles in North Road, Hertford. The offenders (s) have gained access to a black Mercedes and a white Audi which was parked in the communal area parkin...

Re: Maidenhead Street

Taking account of the HUDS statement "As part of these works, new gates will be installed at either end of Maidenhead Street." I can't help but wonder where these gates are? Overall, I personally feel Bull Plain is much improved, though still a work in progress, but am confused as to where blue bad...

Re: Vehicle crime

I hope everyone is reporting these.

The local crime stats show vehicle crime running at 20-30 reports a month.

A short article extolling the town's virtues in The Guardian

Not sure about the "Saxon street pattern" though.
