Oi Oi, steady on, we've got a Renault Scenic and couldn't be happier with it, except people seem to keep dinging it in car parks

Ware Garage - seems to have closed

Ware Garage (Renault Dealers, just before the A10 viaduct) and the associated and cunningly monikered "Used Car Centre" have closed. This means that there is a potential huge swath of of brown field development between this site and the old Alfa Romeo dealers (Desira) divided by a few units between ...

Re: Foxwatch

There seem to be quite a few on the south/east side of Kingsmead and around the Cromwell Road allotments, saw one on the Hertford East train tracks the other day. My dog is not a fan of his wild cousins, although unfortunately he loves their excreta. :o :(

Nuffield Fitness & Wellbeing vs Hartham Leisure Centre

Thinking of joining a gym, cost aside, what's your opinion on our local gyms, both the places themselves, quality of equipment etc but also the membership "experience" ambience etc? Is the extra £20/month worth it for Nuffield?

I personally haven't but I know the structures in the Saracens Head (Ware Road) beer garden are re purposed car ports, very impressive too, maybe ask in there?

Re: Best optician in town/area

I can recommend Jim at Designer Eyes in Old Cross. There's an excellent selection of frames, many of which are not found in Boots or Specsavers. He's independent, too, and will take a prescription from Boots or wherever. Always very helpful. Thanks, yes Designer Eyes does have a good range of frame...

Re: Best optician in town/area

Thanks for the recommendations. Not too keen on Specsavers, I fear the same issue as Boots as in you never seem to get the same optician twice. I'll look into Ernest Aves in Ware (no website which seems odd these days), if I'm going to cross the border I might ask over on the other side too. More re...

Best optician in town/area

Have used Boots the last few years but while I've found the quality of the dispensing staff to be great the actual opticians seem to be hit and miss, plus they move so regularly you never see the same one from year to year. Any recommends for opticians who have been around for a while and hopefully ...
