Re: Bircherley Green Redevelopment
Can i just say that Aldi are superb. If they came to Bircherley Green I think a lot of people will be surprised. Really? I've tried to like them but everytime I've been to the Hoddesdon branch the "experience" is awful and the food tastes weird. Good for cheapish ale and the odd bit of cycling/camp...

Re: Second hand bikes.
Highway Cycles in Ware had a couple of s/h bikes outside the shop recently. Also worth checking http://singletrackworld.com/forum/forum/classifieds , mainly mountain bikes, lots of people may be getting rid of 26" bikes now that 650B and 29" have "taken over". Partner successfully bought a bike from...

Re: Understanding the market in hertford
Mangrove Road is a very sought after desirable road, in the "right part of town" Foxholes is just a legoland of bog standard new houses on the edge of the Town. Simples Pretty much this, it's also too far for me to walk into town on a regular basis, when we moved to Hertford, 10 years ago now, we e...

Re: Simon Balle
No real idea what's going on at Simon Balle but maybe it's just "one of those things", if you looked at the figures for Presdales, last year they were down to 79% (5+ A*-C GCSEs), this was a decline from 90% in 2011, a seemingly precipitous decline, however this year the figure is back up to 88%. So...

No, I regularly check my speed been around 29-32 Mbps since the upgrade from 10Mbjames wrote:We got ours bumped from 60Mb to 100Mb last summer. Virgin didn't explicitly tell us, it just happened. You've probably had higher speeds yourself for a while, just not noticed.

Re: Where Did everybody go??
I think the forum has been overly moderated in the past, the "on-topic" nature precluded any kind of community feeling arising imo.

Just got the receipt and confirmation, it doesn't explicitly say I've signed up for a new deal but it kind of looks that way, although if I have I'm a bit disappointed that it's all so stealthy.

FYI: Virgin Media Customers - Speed Upgrade (Free)
The long promised and awaited speed upgrades have actually happened in Hertford. To get the new speeds you have to "Order" the new service, to do this you need to login to VM website to get to your "My Virgin Media" page, on that page is a "Supercharge your broadband" under that is a "Find Out More"...
