Re: Hertford Bypass
Whenever I read about the Bypass subject, posts & topics always seem to centre around relieving traffic on Gascoyne Way & the M25. I live in Bullocks Lane - this is the B158 - a "B" road, a little road leading to Essendon & beyond. Motorists already use THIS road as a "bypass" to cut off the A414 !...

Re: Community Charge 2018/19
Also they added another £10m to their massive reserves. Even with my googling skills I'm finding it hard to find out how much they actually have, but one document I saw suggested £150m. Given the mess certain Councils are in (Northants for example), I'm pleased to see a reserve. Not sure it's enoug...

Re: Proposed signs "celebrating Richard Hale school" at Hetford East
I'm telling you all, it's a post ironic joke; a wind-up #ArtTrolls fulling outrage, and reading this with their hoppy bears and handsome beards laughing at the reactions
Surely it is.

Re: Looks like Bypass is getting closer
Agreed, but my concern is that it is rather like an election manifesto 'Elect me and I'll give you x' but there is no guarantee, especially if we see a change in Government. Also between 2017-22 Hertford will see another 565 homes built (1,850 by 2033) and the EHDC DP (Modifications 2018) is now sa...

re Drama Queen comment...
Sadly this is the problem; the F&B market is on it's knees at the moment; chains shutting not expanding, and Indies not able to afford the rent, this development is 3 years too late (otherwise it would have been a Cote, Wags, GBK etc).

Re: Bircherley Green
I was making a wider point about viability. Believe me if there was an opportunity to secure a good covenant on a long lease they would, rather than "keeping their options open"

In the Mercury.. A Beefeater is proposed. Jesus wept. Over-priced, brown food. Yes I am being snobby. If it's in The Mercury it must be true  Very good. Anyway, it's a wider issue. The scheme was conceived a while back when mid-market food and beverage was doing well, and operators were expan...

Re: Former Bob Hill Motorcycles, Cowbridge
There are no empty rates on listed properties, so this won't be costing the Landlord much beyond insurance. It's a nightmare for a developer as the listed status, and use make it unlettable. (I'm not the landlord )
