Being picky it New Road............................but aside from that when there have been vans there in the past that have no longer been legal they have been towed away. They are then replaced quite quickly by others. It has been on going for years and it seems little can be done.

Maybe they could negotiate with the landlord of the long empty unit in Mainlined Street that used to be McDonald's / Fine Fare................no one else seems to want it!

There is also the Post Office in Bengeo, rear of the Co-Op on Bengeo Street, beware of parking problems but other than that it is wonderful. It also closes for lunch and on Wednesday afternoons but at least we still have it! Best to park some way away and walk if you are not close enough to walk fro...

I use them and have to say they are brilliant. I am not surprised. I always thought it would happen one day. I doubt there are any grounds for refusal. The land originally over 100 years ago was going to be smaller plots on both Bengeo Street and Duncombe Road so it was just a case of someone buying a lot of plots to build the large house..........

My grandfather always insisted it was 1919. He was in India and Afghanistan and didn't return home till 1919. I have his medals and on the back of the victory medal it says " The great war for civilization 1914-1919". Although the war ended in France in 1918 they were still fighting in other places!...

Not forgetting those who use the inside lane coming down from County Hall then go all the way round towards Ware on the A414! had a few near misses with that one when I am in the middle lane going straight over.
