Re: Hertford Secondary Schools
My son walks through the Sele 'catchment' area on his route to Richard Hale and does not have any issues. He did have a bout of name calling once but ignored them and they got bored and gave up. He is in a band and there are members from different schools in it and his facebook friends (when I stalk...

Re: Police at Hertford North last night
I saw them soon after they arrived and were getting suited and booted up. The cars were parked so as to block aal routes except from town towards Stevenage. I was intrigued but did not know what it was about.
There is nothing on twitter about it...

Re: Hertford Secondary Schools
There are definitely drugs available in Hertford but that is true of any town. The reason I know they are available is because I have been told. I have not seen any evidence myself and I live very near the road rumoured to be The Place to get drugs in Hertford. I have a year 11 as well and he has to...

Re: Hertford Secondary Schools
Can I echo gemipicorn and not just because I want to be friends with Katy too. My son's primary school (not in Hertford) had a good reputation for handling pupils with special educational needs so it had more than the average. One particular pupil who was there at the same time as my son, was severe...

Re: Hertford Secondary Schools
One thing you will find out about Hertford schools is just how privileged we are in this area to have extremely good schools that between them cater for all different children and they thrive. Sele probably has the poorest reputation but that is all it is, reputation and is actually based on outdate...

Maybe they just asked the homeless?
I would vote no as a quick straw poll.

Re: Whistling Duck
I went there in May for my birthday and it was outstanding. It was on a Tuesday and very quiet, there was one other party of three who were halfway through their meal when we arrived so we finished our meal alone. The ambience therefore was not perfect but still nice atmosphere but the service was e...

A602 to Stevenage - Closed
The road is closed just beyond the Watton at Stone bypass as you get to Hooks Cross. Huge volume of water there apparently and more rolling down off the fields. My other half decided to brave it and only just made it through, water was up to the sills of the car. If anyone heading that way today, I ...
