Re: My Turkish Kitchen
Has anyone been? What are your thoughts...... Went on Thursday night and enjoyed it. It's light, airy and vibrant and definitely not somewhere you'd go for a quiet, romantic meal. As you'd expect from a Turkish kitchen the food leans towards the meaty end of the spectrum (loads of lamb and chicken)...

Re: 20 MPH zone West of Bengeo Street.
I personally think that if drivers were experienced enough and drove to the road conditions and road environment then it wouldn't be necessary Yes, but that's exactly the problem isn't it? I think this is a good move. It may not actually get drivers pootling along at 20mph, but it will certainly re...

Sounds great - will be there with the kids. Arrived too late last year and missed the bbq and face-painting, won't make that mistake again!

Re: Labour Parliamentary Candidate Lacks Credibility
Katherine knocked on my door a few weeks ago and asked if I would be voting Labour to which I answered 'No' and then she asked who I would be voting for to which I said I was undecided and she just went 'Ok' and left. I was a bit bemused as she didn't try and ask me why I would not be voting for La...

Re: Will Asda Tempt You?
With the new Asda in Ware set to open on Thursday 14th May, will anyone be tempted to shop there instead of a Hertford store? Possibly. I shop at the Asda in Stevenage occasionally and it's great value, although you have to know which products to avoid as some of them are terrible quality (yes, tas...

Re: do my eyes deceive me?
To his credit he's been quite active in the last few weeks - I've spotted him in the town centre and also door-knocking in Bengeo. Regardless of party affiliation, it's heartening to see candidates putting some effort into their campaigns.

Re: Labour Parliamentary Candidate Lacks Credibility
I find Labour's Katherine Chibah totally lacking in credibilty to the point where she appears to have little idea what she's talking about. One of the major pitfalls of living in a "safe seat" constituency is that opposition parties are reluctant to put forward a decent candidate for election knowi...

Re: Announcing - Launch of Hertford Beer and Brewers group
All welcome whatever your brewing experience. I'm very much at the beginning of my brewing journey! This sounds great. I'm still to get around to putting on my first brew (pretty basic - just one of those tinned syrup style things that I got for Christmas, but you have to start somewhere, right?) b...

Me neither. It appears to imply that other supermarkets are shining beacons of ethics and morality. I'm pretty sure all supermarkets are as bad as each other.Kateg28 wrote:I don't understand 'Won't shop in Tescos on principle'. What principle? I genuinely do not know what this means?

Re: Does Hertford Need A Bypass?
the road is a blight on our town and the 60s planners should be strung up from the multi-storey in my opinion  Indeed. A shocking act of urban vandalism. I'm leaning towards a "no" for the bypass, though. I generally prefer to see congestion dealt with my discouraging car use and providing...
