Re: Warren Park Road
In fairness they've also been resurfacing lots of other roads in Bengeo so I guess it wasn't just aimed at where the rich people live! I know in London they've been trying to coordinate roadworks: https://tfl.gov.uk/info-for/media/press-releases/2016/january/teamwork-on-roadworks-in-2015-saves-over-...

Re: SG13 or SG14
If they're 11 and 13 then they'd be an in year entry anyway presumably, so they'd only get in when there was a space. The admissions rules in Hertford are generally (though some schools are different): SEN/children in care; siblings (in distance order); non-siblings for whom it is the nearest school...

London suburban metro consultation
http://content.tfl.gov.uk/dft-tfl-rail-prospectus.pdf Only noticed this (now closed) consultation because of a story in the Guardian today about commuting into London - it's about TFL taking over various commuter lines into London when the franchises expire. It's not exactly wildly ambitious for th...

You can find all the candidates' statements on here (I think it's the first time I've had to actively look up any candidate info rather than it just falling through the door...)

Re: The Key at Herford North
Did they confirm if you keep the paper season ticket or not? I can see it getting very difficult if you don't.

Re: Bengeo Gravel Extraction
I agree that the letter that's been circulated does contain some possibly doubtful parts (especially the house price comment). The consultation the proposers have carried out is fairly pitiful though - it's basically just the very closest houses. No wonder they only had 80 people at the public consu...

Re: New trains on Hertford North route announced
Good to see they've got wifi (though wonder how much it'll cost). I find the data signal pretty bad considering most of the journey is on fairly high lines through London. Also given their current plan seems to be to add a minute on to the timetabled journey every year, presumably by the time these ...

Re: Parking on the pavements
Presumably people would only do that if their front gardens were big enough (most of which in Bengeo aren't if they've not already been done). I don't mind people paving over their front gardens (though obviously you need to comply with planning rules to do that) because that's your own space anyway...
