Re: Bircherley Green
I find yesterday’s announcement of a withdrawal of the planning application by Wrenbridge a sad testament of profit being more important than community. Saying “The scheme we had designed, and hoped to be building by now, was created for a 2016 market and is no longer fit for purpose in 2019, in the...

Re: Maidenhead Street
Thanks for that - finally found it https://www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/media- ... iction.pdf. I read the Schedule not realising that they were exempt under para 4(i)!

Re: Vehicle crime
It seems the saga of car crime continues with Owl reporting "In-between 2320hrs 7/6/19 and 1000hrs 8//6/19 offender[s] have committed a theft from vehicles in North Road, Hertford. The offenders (s) have gained access to a black Mercedes and a white Audi which was parked in the communal area parking...

Re: Maidenhead Street
Taking account of the HUDS statement "As part of these works, new gates will be installed at either end of Maidenhead Street." I can't help but wonder where these gates are? Overall, I personally feel Bull Plain is much improved, though still a work in progress, but am confused as to where blue badg...

Vehicle crime
Three vehicles attacked in West St/Horns Rd last night with another couple also attacked in Hornsmill. Some of the damage is just malicious (shattering of windscreen) whereas, like the previous week, others are actually searching of vehicles.

Re: Is anything happening?
I believe it will be a positive response as (IMO) the electorate has clearly said they want wider input and discussion in their local politics. Lets hope that everyone who has been successful brings forward new ideas and is proactive in improving our lives.

Re: Is anything happening?
From my lowly position and only looking at the results for Hertford I feel there was a clear statement that the electorate, whilst in the main happy with EHDC, are looking for a Council that is more prepared to challenge central Government on issues such as building on the green belt and laying more...

Re: County Council relocation
Perhaps you are not aware talk in Hertford over the past three months or so has been that HCC is looking to move staff to Stevenage. Seems it is rather poor at accepting criticism on its position of not being a responsible neighbour having on site parking priority for its staff and expecting the pub...

Re: County Council relocation
Afraid I am not clear from your poor communication whether you are saying this was an April Fool's joke? As it has gone past mid-day on that day responsible sites would have removed it and not left it in their News section. If you are saying it is true and was on the HCC intranet perhaps you are not...
