Re: Hertfordshire Mercury job losses?
Sad to watch the decline of a once reasonably upright organ of the press...

Re: Three cheers for Mark Prisk
I would wager that Darcy works in the public sector. Or maybe doesn't work at all - so as not to imply support of the oppressive system Not that it's necessarily anyone's business but that is a bet you have lost. Darcy is a wage slave in the private sector but still appreciative of the fact he is n...

Re: Three cheers for Mark Prisk
I think enough is enough.. nurses, ambulance crews all deserve a better pay rise, and can we please stop this percentage malarkey... 1% of nothing is nothing.. lets talk hundreds, thousands of pounds raise each ... much more sensible.. 1% of £50,000 is a nice raise.. of £15,000 is a pittance ! :D L...

.....it's the private sector that has to generate the cash to pay for it, so why should they lose out ? ...Through taxes. If the private sector stopped spending some of the "cash" they generate on tax lawyers and actually paid a fair share of tax the funding of the public sector would be more assur...

Re: Three cheers for Mark Prisk
Its a lovely day in Hertford today and I am really dismayed by all the nasty comments on this thread to each other. I judge local MPs by what they do and the same with local councillors.. if they look after my perceived interests or things I need doing locally and help in any way - whatever their p...

Re: Three cheers for Mark Prisk
Not sure about bigots and racists but you (Darcy Sarto) used the terms vicious and fascist, and implied that Tories were less than weasels and should not exist. Ooh you know you're dead right. That is just what I said. Take it as a lesson in hyperbole to add to your worldly wiseishness  What's...

Re: Three cheers for Mark Prisk
Can someone help an older but apparently politically naive duffer...
I am searching this thread for anyone other than MultiDad who has used the terms "racist" or "bigot"? Doth he protest too much or too loudly? I know what methinks.
