Three vehicles attacked in West St/Horns Rd last night with another couple also attacked in Hornsmill. Some of the damage is just malicious (shattering of windscreen) whereas, like the previous week, others are actually searching of vehicles.

I hope everyone is reporting these.

The local crime stats show vehicle crime running at 20-30 reports a month.

Am encouraging everyone to do so as Neighbourhood Policing in the area is spelt with a small 'n' and 'p'.

It seems the saga of car crime continues with Owl reporting "In-between 2320hrs 7/6/19 and 1000hrs 8//6/19 offender[s] have committed a theft from vehicles in North Road, Hertford. The offenders (s) have gained access to a black Mercedes and a white Audi which was parked in the communal area parking spaces. Items of clothing and cash was stolen from inside the cars"

Clothing and cash (probably loose change). The offenders must have been pretty desperate.

I note the phrase "gained access", which is a little ambiguous. It doesn't necessarily mean "broke in to".

I'm aware there are a few "known" individuals roaming the town looking for money to fund their drug or gambling habits - more opportunists than dangerous criminals. Not that I'm excusing the crimes.
