Damage to overhead electric wires between Cheshunt and Rye House stations is causing havoc to train services this afternoon (Friday October 17).
Engineers are currently on site carrying out repairs, but all passengers have been asked not to travel to Hertford East until at least 8pm this evening. There are no trains running between Liverpool Street and Cheshunt via Tottenham Hale, but some services are running from Seven Sisters. Train operator Greater Anglia has been unable to provide a replacement bus service between Cheshunt and Bishops Stortford.
