There's actually a "soft preview" service that runs on Friday afternoons from Moorgate to Gordon Hill. It leaves Moorgate around 1430. From what I've seen it runs non-stop from Finsbury Park to Gordon Hill.

Now that sounds good, if I can get away from work early. from what I understand of new train introduction elsewhere on the network, soft start is definitely the way to go..
Re: New trains on Hertford North route announced
Has anyone noticed the posters at Hertford North regarding the new trains?
All of the new trains are 6 carriages (and you can walk the whole length of the train without going through any doors).
The posters at Hertford North say that if you intend to get off at any station between Highbury & Islington and Moorgate you should use the front 5 carriages.
Have they designed trains that are too long for the platforms in the underground section?

Does anyone have a reliable update on anticipated timing for the introduction of the new trains at rush hours?
Thank you
Thank you

From what I've gleaned from the train geeks on twitter, there are now 3 trains that are running limited services (Moorgate to Gordon Hill) and they will be brought into full service on 28 January. The remaining units will then be phased in over the next 3 months.

I've been on the new train from Moorgate to Gordon Hill this week - they run through the day off-peak. More seats and more room for standing, so in theory, there should be a little less "can you move down please" once they've launched.
Re: New trains on Hertford North route announced
There are fewer seats on the new trains.
462 on a 6 car unit on the old trains, 362 on the new trains.

I stand corrected
Re: New trains on Hertford North route announced
Interesting that the new trains being introduced at Hertford East are 10-car units with 1100 seats.
