On which note, has Oyster arrived at North yet? It would be so helpful to have some flexibility when heading home late at night.

Two new trains were due to be brought into service on Monday (11 March) but this was pulled on Friday.

We've had "Autumn 2018", "early 2019", "soon" when Mark Prisk met GN representatives a couple of weeks ago.

All 25 of the new units are now in the UK, sat in sidings ready to be used.

The old trains seem to be breaking down on a more frequent basis of late.

I'm sure there is some sort of Brexit analogy here.

Not looking promising

"A £240 million fleet of new trains is 'gathering dust' because a design flaw means drivers cannot fully see out of the front window."

Those trains are running perfectly fine on the great northern. yes, they're slightly different, but come on.

A bit more than slightly different, but that’s not the point.
The point is that the signals can’t be seen properly unless the train stops short of the platform edge, which then leaves a blind spot. Pain in the back side, but that’s the way it is, for the moment at least. Rumours flying around that there will be permanent solutions to this in the next few years or so

Just went past the depot to see them all.

Although the most recent problems seem to be lack of drivers....
