We shall hopefully be moving house within Hertford soon. Does anyone have any recommendations for removal firms?

Sorry to reply to my own post but we got two recommendations from friends which were:

Fosters and Better Removals.

Both seemed good on meeting but we went with Fosters in the end based on the quote which was the (significantly) cheaper of the two.
Important different however is that Fosters don't have insurance to cover lofts whereas Better Removals do.

We decided to empty the loft ourselves, YMMV.

Having now moved and returned our boxes, we were very pleased with the service we got and how it all went and our happy to recommend Fosters.

My advise for a smoother home move, always pay for the packing service! :)

After almost 30 years in the industry I would recommend that you choose a member of the trade association: http://www.bar.co.uk" target="_blank

I would recommend my current employers but they don't do domestic moving.

Best of luck :)

Sorry, slap on the writst for using net abbreviations. It stands for "Your mileage may vary". I meant that having them empty your loft may be more important to you than the price difference.
