washing machine (and dishwasher) repairs

My miele washer/dryer started malfunctioning and rather than use their painfully expensive engineers I rang cheshunt domestic appliances (on the recommendation of the Frith brothers, who don't work on Miele).
Had a man round today (rang yesterday) and the job was sorted quickly and eficiently.
It reminded me that they also repaired a bosch dishwasher a couple of years ago with equal aplomb, so I thought I'd stick a note on here in case anyone needs a similar bale out.
