Second hand bikes.

Post by Ewoowar » Wed 11 Mar, 2015 1:32 pm

Does anyone know of anywhere relatively near Hertford that sells second hand bikes?

I ride everywhere and my trusty steed is on its last legs.

I don't need a new bike, my current bike being second hand and bought over ten years ago from marshalls when they used to sell second hand bikes in the town.

Obviously I want to avoid bikes that have, how shall we say, 'liberated' from their rightful owners.

I have been looking in local small ads but it is better to see a chice, if possible, and avoid travelling miles just to be disssapointed.

eBay pretty much dominates second hand bike sales these days. Ask to see a photo of the frame number before you bid. Legit sellers will be happy to do this.

Highway Cycles in Ware had a couple of s/h bikes outside the shop recently. Also worth checking http://singletrackworld.com/forum/forum/classifieds, mainly mountain bikes, lots of people may be getting rid of 26" bikes now that 650B and 29" have "taken over". Partner successfully bought a bike from http://road.cc/classified-ads last year.
