Pleased to see inconsiderate parking being tackled

“Sadly we are seeing an increase in the number of people who seem to think it is ok to leave their car obstructing pavements, parked in a dangerous place or even in a clearly marked ‘no parking’ area,” explained Chief Inspector Gerry McDonald.

“This is having a detrimental effect on the lives of residents in these towns. Wheelchair and mobility scooter users, and mothers with pushchairs, are often finding they have to walk in the road, as the pavements have been obstructed by parked vehicles. This is clearly highly dangerous and unacceptable"

Fathers push pushchairs too, CI McDonald.

But yes, everyday sexism aside, great to see this being tackled.
