Bob Ash

My wife served Mrs Ash today who told her that Bob Ash passed away about ten days ago.
Bob worked for Illotts for may years in the upstairs hardware department and then set up Hertford Pet Supplies in Fore Street. I knew he had been ill and the arrival of Pets 4 U had not helped the business. He seemed to have regained some good health recently and was a happier man for being retired. I will miss him. One of those people who I often dropped in for a chat with and left after about an hour with the world a better place; but not a lot we could do about Hertford.
