Passed by today and the For Sale signs are up....... looks like its closed completely. Hope someone else takes it on and it's not another pub to bite the dust.

The For Sale signs have been up for some time.

Unfortunately it had been through a number of landlords in the last few years and none of them could make it work. With 3 other pubs in the village I can’t see that it will be sold on as a pub (there were rumours in the village late last year that Tesco were looking at the site for a metro style store; however the For Sale signs have remained for about 5 months now).

I think I have only ever been in there once, and that was a few years ago.

Hertford Heath certainly has its fair share of pubs and more, given its size.

Just out of curiosity, who are the selling/estate agents? I did a google but can't find any info on the sale.

It was Fluerets originally (I think for about £650,000), but not on their website now. If I remember I'll see who the current agent is when I cycle past tonight.

I did look on Fluerets and it wasn't there, though saying that ever since they changed the "search" system and the website a lot of properties have vanished. I know of two in Kent that no longer appear when you search and they have not been sold yet.

The For Sale sign is still Fluerets, so proabably an issue with their website
