At last, it seems that the Environment Agency and local authorities are doing something to help people affected by the floods in February.
A surgery is being held in County Hall on Monday afternoon / evening.
Details in the attachment.
I didn't know we lived in the county of Staines-upon-Thames!
It should be interesting. I have it on good authority that a sluice gate near Hertford was not opened on the day of the floods.
The reason? It belongs to EHDC, not the Environment Agency, and EHDC didn't even know they were responsible for it. Of course, they say that flooding would have happened anyway, but.......hmmm.
