Is it really true that there will be no Saturday service at all on route 390 from Hertford to Stevenage from beginning of September.

That seems to be the case following the county council's latest set of subsidy cuts. Just the odd 383 and 384 going the long way round. That service is not changing.

Of course none of these cuts were needed as the council has an annual underspend of £25million! (not to mention the massive reserves...)

I thought the subsidy cuts were for services in the evening and for Sunday services.So not sure why they have dropped Saturday services altogether.

Just been on to the Intalink site, looks like the 390 will run on Saturdays after all. Leaving Hertford Bus Station at 0839, 1007, 1207, 1407 and 1537. Returning from Stevenage at 0925, 1125, 1255,1455 and 1625. Timetable is effective from 1st Sepetember.

But on Centrebus website,who run the service it still states that the Saturday service is being withdrawn. We will have to wait and see!!

Ha, Intalink now shows a new timetable for the 390 starting 1st September. This now shows five journeys each way on Saturdays provided by Centrebus, as opposed to the present eight journeys which include two to Aston only.Aston will now have route 391. So was it a mistake or has someone listened and relented.

Sounds about right. One website says one thing, another site says something else. I will say from previous experience that Centrebus are quicker at updating their timetables than Interlink. However, not much use for passengers who have to guess whether the service will run or not!

Having contacted Centrebus,they confirmed that there would be a Saturday service and as Jasmine98 states ,there will be 5 journeys each way.They also stated that the council had re-instated this service.

Oh right, well that's good that the service will run. They haven't updated their website though. I see also that HCC are putting the fares up, doesn't say by how much. Very wrong when they are cutting routes and services yet put the fares up. Double whammy for us poor customers.
