I heard that there won't be any toilets and that although there's increased capacity there are actually fewer seats than on the existing trains. I hope that I've been misinformed though.

I believe that no toilets and fewer seats is correct, they designed to be high capacity trains for relatively short duration journies. To see what they are like they are a dual voltage version of the 3rd rail 5 coach long class 707 recently introduced on South Western trains.

The journey often feels quite long enough if one has stopped for a pint or two after work!!

the new trains on the great northern line do have first class, however the ones at the back of the train are declassified, not sure why, and yes, does cause quite a lot of confusion!

But the new trains for the Moorgate routes are a different version and will not have first class

Two of the new trains have been spotted near Harringay / Hornsey today.

All they need to do now is teach the drivers how to operate them* and route-train them.

* Hopefully that will include how to turn on the heating when it is cold and the air conditioning when it is hot.

Hi all,

I heard from a friend about 'season ticket compensation' for people who experienced problems on the Great Northern line, something about possibility of getting 'up to' a whole months costs back.

I cannot find this anywhere on the web. Could anyone point me in the right direction pls?

Thanks

Matt
