Bluecoats Roundabout

Post by TcfL » Wed 01 Aug, 2018 10:30 am

Looking at this link https://roadworks.org/?105454376 it appears (when you zoom in) that they are installing a new light for the Fore St exit, but there are no details on the HCC website. Anyone know details?

I think the four locations indicated on the map are for lane closures rather than the specific work taking place.

The traffic is a dream at the moment - I wonder how much of that can be attributed to the lack of traffic control and how much to the school holidays?

So -

School out + no traffic lights = very few traffic jams

School out + traffic lights = massive traffic jams again

It looks to me that the school runners cant be blamed for all the traffic misery in Hertford and the traffic lights must be contributing.

My only hope is that one of the new houses on the Walters garage site will watch the 6pm news so I can watch it from the A414 traffic jam. :(

Raise it with Councillor Bob Deering (Division) and Derrick Ashby (highways). Evidence seems unequivocal

I know the lights are shiny and new. But are they actually any different? They seem to be in the same places with the same approach.
