Hertford Art Exhibition
Hertford Art Society stages its Annual Open Exhibition at Cowbridge Halls every May.
The two-week open exhibition is one of the most prestigious in the South East, welcoming amateurs and professionals alike.
The exhibition features work of art and sculpture, and takes place at Cowbridge Halls, just a few minutes walk from the town centre. It is open daily from 11am to 8pm with free admission..
A number of prizes are awarded during the show, including Best In Exhibition, Best Picture by a Member, Best Piece of 3D Work and Best Abstract Artwork.
Hertford Art Society was formed in 1953 and the annual exhibition attracts entries from all over the country. Regular contributors include local artists Trevor Chamberlain, Robin Mackervoy and Ronald Maddox.
