Anyone own an LDV Minibus/Campervan?....
Hi, I'm considering buying an LDV Minibus to partially convert to a campervan but before I do I'm doing some due diligence and would like to chat with someone who already owns one, either a minibus or campervan. I'm after an early model, old style - see pic below (think Post Office vans!), rather th...

Re: New trains on Hertford North route announced
Hi all, I heard from a friend about 'season ticket compensation' for people who experienced problems on the Great Northern line, something about possibility of getting 'up to' a whole months costs back. I cannot find this anywhere on the web. Could anyone point me in the right direction pls? Thanks ...

Cars At The Castle - This Sunday, 12-4pm

I'm not organising it, but will be taking my rusty old banger to 'display'.

Planning permission for a new shed?
Hi all, Reaching out to the Hertford community to see if anyone can help! I'm planning on building a new shed in my back garden. It will be in the back garden and within 2 metres of the rear boundary of the property. I have done some research and found that if the height is no more than 2.5 metres, ...

Re: "Hertford & Ware" Mercury
Just to put a slightly different pov on this. I think its important to point out that the Mercury (and its parent company) are trying to operate on a significantly reduced revenue if you compare back in the day (15 years ago) to now, and that this is bound to have an effect on the quality of the pro...

Volunteering to help lonely older people at Christmas
Hi all, I'd like to try and volunteer to help some of the lonely older people of Hertford at Xmas. Invite them round for coffee, take them out for coffee etc. I'm researching on the Age U.K. website (it was the Age UK/John Lewis Man on the Moon TV ads last year that made me want to help out), but ap...

recommendations for a picnic location (nr Hertford)
Hi all, I think this is the right heading for this (technically it's 'entertainment' ;) I'm looking for somewhere to drive to one weekend for a picnic with the missus. Ideally no more than about 10-15 miles away from Hertford (we're going in an old classic car and would hate to breakdown, talk about...
