Always a shame to see local businesses go down the river but personally was never impressed with the ambience, quality of the food (not fine dining standards) and cost (fine dining prices!).

Sounds horrendous.
Taxis are regulated by the council - EHDC I think- and you've been ripped off big style.

I have to deliver to houses at night and it can be quite dangerous at night in the darkness with no street lamps. Also it is more likely that people will be attacked.

I have seen the traffic wardens (or whatever they are called these days) turn up at Sele farm shops on weekend mornings on their scooters, ticket those cars in the disabled bays that don't have badges and disappear off again. I guess people who have parked there overnight are easy bookings and look ...

Buy some Owatrol Easy Surface Prep (ESP), available on Amazon.
Dead easy to apply, sticks to anything and provides a paintable surface. Converted all my varnished kitchen cabinets too cream paint and saved myself thousands of pounds ins new kitchen, or kitchen doors.
