Re: Forum Closure
Very sad but a sign of the times. Thanks Steve for keeping it going for so long! I had a lot of fun and found it very useful.

Re: Climate Emergency Declared
So HCC has passed a resolution to declare a climate emergency Yet a lot of the very same councillors on East Herts District Council have just voted not to declare a Climate Emergency in the district! More importantly they amended away a lot of the concrete actions proposed (by the LibDems and suppo...

Come on, you're being unfair, Folkestone is only 90 miles away, you could drive there in just under 2 hours!

Re: Bengeo Gravel Extraction
I think Smudger means that n most cases, when they've extracted all the aggregates they can from a quarry, it gets landscaped and returned to nature in the form of parkland/wetlands etc. Because people campaigned to stop it, the obvious alternative to a quarry will be a nice new housing estate I'm ...

Re: Street selling
It happens to the best of us! I foolishly used to buy from those Nottingham knockers types and still find it difficult to turn them away. However, was it this guy doing the selling? https://thewaltercumpershunterclub.wordpress.com/2018/08/04/pele-duncan-seller-of-scam-magazine-the-veterans-journey-c...

Re: EHDC District Plan - Vote on adoption 11-Sept
I always watch online - like to see who is active or just making up the numbers. If you can and know your councillors by sight, try and spot who's missing, and how those present vote. I'm expecting a high turnout and only a very few abstentions and votes against. Do they put up who voted which way ...
