Just seen this on the BBC regarding Oldham Evening Chronicle hit by the "changing nature of the local media landscape" stood out. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-41113497 Darcy I've been giving the Mercury some stick too over the past few days and made some lengthy comments on the we...
Its a matter of taste - personally I still favour the Shahenshah but know that others don't like it, Raj is good but small for eating in if a big group, not been to hot house for ages. Not a great fan of Ruby's as I find the sauces a bit too tasteless and runny. The takeaway on Parliament Sq is okay...

I can assure Newgirl that Kevin wouldn't have chosen this band for any pm venue if he'd known - there was an issue a few years ago like this and the act were soon replaced. The venue could have intervened if it was deemed inappropriate.

Thanks for posting the drawings Steve, from what I can see it looks like they're eliminating the steps and widening to make the bridges more wheelchair/cycle friendly? Looks a good improvement and I hope they manage it quickly when approved as the recent works on the long bridge across the weir took...
I stopped reading it years ago when I realised that if I picked it up while waiting in a supermarket queue I could read all of the relevant stuff before they were ready to check my goods. The online is nearly as bad with all of the pop ups and I've installed an adblocker to cope with this paper alon...

Looks like Waitexit is a done deal and personally although I'm not happy about it going its time to move on. I just hope that the redevelopment is still on course and that, as a town, we can work with the developers to avoid a cheap and nasty makeover based around a multi-storey car park. There are ...
