Re: Enterprise Car Rental Closing
Why is the link between the Caxton Hill industrial estate and the Foxholes industrial estate closed off? It always has been. Both estates are privately owned and I think there were probably issues with the link being used as a shortcut between Ware Road and the A414 - avoiding the Mill Road lights ...

Re: A414 Corridor Consultation
Yes, we need to reduce traffic on the A414 around Hertford. But do we need a new bypass in 10 or more years time to solve today's travel problems? No! HCC says it would cost "up to £500 million". Re: Enterprise Car Rental Closing

They do offer collection, i guess that means they'll now collect you from hertford? is this about them trying to empty the caxton estate, rather than anything to do with the business not making enough money? Likely so. It’s housing app...

Re: Railway Street
That’s the one. The signs have come down and are inside now and they are building a division close to the window so it looked as though they are setting up for something but I could be wrong. The only signs I can see inside are estate agents boards for the flats. And the partition you mention is be...

Re: Railway Street
Does anyone know who will be taking up the retail space on the corner of the development at Railway Street? Notice that the to let signs have been taken down, and building work going on inside, so wondered what was going in there? Do you mean on the corner of St.John's Street? I've never seen a To ...

Re: Bircherley Green
Is it known what the archaeologists are looking for/found? It's standard practice for archaeologists to be given access to sites of interest when demolition takes place. I doubt they were looking for anything specific - just taking the opportunity to see if the site clearance unearths anything. It ...

I'm amazed The Mercury print edition is still available. It can only be a matter of time.

Re: Bircherley Green
At present many of those I talk to have difficulty understanding why the first part of the project seems to spend so much time moving piles of demolished building back and forth around the same plot when you have closed the car park to move to the next phase’. It probably would have helped if Wrenb...
