It may be my imagination but there seems to be a distinct lack of drivers taking any notice of road signs lately. I have to admit I can't make the plan fit the drawing. It probably me but there seems to be an open space with trees on the drawing that is part of the food store on the plan.

There is one near me.
If they are to monitor morning traffic I could have saved them the trouble, it comes off Bengeo Street into The Avenue and then into Church Road, Elton Road and down Byde Street.........................

See this morning the shop that was the picture framers has a closing down sign in the window......that didn't last long, not sure it even had a name sign up!

The old Bob Hill shop was the Travellers Rest. One of the famous old buildings of Hertford. At one time it had Pingy's fish and chip shop and Bill Munt's hairdressers at the side and a greengrocers at the front, Freddie Phipps I think but I could have that name wrong?

Totally agree . If my information is correct the owners don't have to pay any busniess rates on the being empty, unlike more modern properties, as they are listed but I would have thought that part of that allowance should be a stipulation should be that they had to be kept in some sort of reasonabl...
