Re: New trains on Hertford North route announced
Two new trains were due to be brought into service on Monday (11 March) but this was pulled on Friday. We've had "Autumn 2018", "early 2019", "soon" when Mark Prisk met GN representatives a couple of weeks ago. All 25 of the new units are now in the UK, sat in sidings ready to be used. The old train...

Re: Oyster coming to Hertford North
This morning, Great Northern tweeted that it "should" be available from mid-March.
However, they also said that the new trains would be in service at the start of the year.
Don't hold your breath for either.

Re: Oyster coming to Hertford North
Just read on another site that the go live date is currently planned for 17 February. Can't say that I've seen anything at Hertford North nor on the GN twitter feed about it.

Re: New trains on Hertford North route announced
There are fewer seats on the new trains.
462 on a 6 car unit on the old trains, 362 on the new trains.

Re: New trains on Hertford North route announced
From what I've gleaned from the train geeks on twitter, there are now 3 trains that are running limited services (Moorgate to Gordon Hill) and they will be brought into full service on 28 January. The remaining units will then be phased in over the next 3 months.

Oyster is coming to Hertford North

This will come as something of a surprise to Mark Prisk who, just yesterday, tweeted this: Finger on the pulse as always.

Re: New trains on Hertford North route announced
Has anyone noticed the posters at Hertford North regarding the new trains? All of the new trains are 6 carriages (and you can walk the whole length of the train without going through any doors). The posters at Hertford North say that if you intend to get off at any station between Highbury & Islingt...
