Can't they just paint a yellow box on the roundabout near the MacDonalds entrance ?
Then cars who couldn't get in would have to go round the roundabout again, but it would free the congestion.
(Council could make a tidy bob from the enforcement cameras too !)

Re: The End of Pay & Display
The Blue Badge thing sounds outrageous.
I thought the badge was for the person not the vehicle, so why register a car ?
What if a carer takes the disabled person, does that mean they can't use the badge ?

Re: Light Pollution Last Night (6/12/16)
That's remarkable.
I saw the same thing - Tuesday night.
There was a bright fireball in the sky that was stationary for a few seconds, then darted off roughly northwards at a very fast speed.
I didn't want to say anything for fear of being accused of being drunk (which I wasn't)

Re: Streetlights Mead Lane
I would guess that this is no small part because of the action of Peter Ruffles.
I saw him in the area this evening checking it all out.
The guy is a legend - no matter what your political allegiances, this guy loves Hertford, and will give his all for the Town

Re: Bircherley Green Redevelopment 2016
I'm not Hertford born and bred, but I have been here 10 years. I love the place (and so do the vast majority of the people I know), and I'm surprised that there aren't more visitors. I think that having a Premier Inn will be a benefit, I stay in them quite a lot with work, but also we'll go as a fam...

Re: Bircherley Green Redevelopment 2016
I was at the meeting last night also. I think there are lots of positives, but some pretty big negatives. What I liked What they have done with the riverside is the best so far, using Cafes/restaurants to liven it up. Bigger shop units to bring in National chains makes sense - I'm a big supporter of...

Re: Hertford Bypass
I would like to see a by-pass on practical grounds, but don't like to see the countryside concreted over. It's a shame they can't drop the A414 through Hertford underground, like they have done in some other places. That way we get to alleviate the traffic congestion without losing the countryside, ...
