Re: Streetlights Mead Lane
I complained about the lights in the Tesco walkway from the station as they were out. I complained on Twitter and ended up having great fun with them, pointing out they sold light bulbs etc. I also played the safety card saying that it was scary walking along in complete darkness. It took a year to ...

White cat run over on Bramfield Road
Saw a lovely looking cat lying in the middle of the Bramfield Road this morning. White with either black or gray patches. Very sad. I was late for my train and it was a little way from houses so would have been difficult to locate the owner (it was 6.30am so not sure people would have appreciated my...

Re: The Whistling Duck - Closed
Oh dear. I nearly considered booking their steak night which was due tomorrow (Thursday) but decided we couldn't organise with my partners hours. I have been there a few times and found it lovely and delicious. Not cheap but you get good food for it. However once we were the only diners and never be...

Re: Bridge House Car Park to Close
Is it really necessary for so many Hertford North patrons to drive to the station at all? When I commuted to London, I used to walk 20 minutes there & back daily - yes it's a pain when the weather is bad, but it's great exercise & only takes 20 mins! And it is uphill on the way home! Uphill in cold...

Re: Bridge House Car Park to Close
Normally I would berate them for being too tight to pay for parking but clearly they already do and even if they wanted to park in the station car park, there is simply not enough room. Parking on the pavement will cause hazards to pedestrians and causes traffic issues on the road and this is irresp...

Re: Bircherley Green Redevelopment 2016
Is the inclusion of a premier inn so bad if it does inject some investment into the area and help rejuvenate it? The premier inn is a different market to our boutique hotels, there are times when I seek a hotel like the premier inn (just a clean room and a shower) but other times when I want a bouti...

Re: Hertford Bypass
widening the train bridge for example. MUCH cheaper too. Aaahhh noooooo. Months of disruption on the trains :o I commute on trains and very rarely ever drive through Hertford in rush hour so the traffic problems do not affect me but major bridge work would cause me significant issues and it is all ...

Re: Hertford Bypass
Codek2 : what would your solution be?
Do you advocate leaving it as it is so no growth but significant traffic at peak times or to find a bypass (this proposal or some other way) and deal with the potential new building boom and population growth?

Why can't they just set up a bank account to receive the monies until the correct process is set up?

Re: The End of Pay & Display
I parked yesterday and there was some wardens there to help anyone (they were very jovial and approachable with a sense of humour). I actually didn't use the machine as my friend paid for my parking but she didn't say anything about it so it must have been easy and she did use cash.
