Re: Waitrose Moving to Van Hage
Not that it makes a whole heap of difference, given they have now gone. Didn't shop there regularly but I do miss it!

Re: Volkswagen specialist in dicker mill / mill road?
Sound Chap, Colin (and Matt who works for him). Colin drives down from Sleaford every day to serve the good VW drivers of Hertford. You need to pick your car up at 5 sharp (because he has a long drive home) but I've never put mine in to find he hasn't been able to sort it without any bother well bef...

Re: Old Walters Garage Houses
Since when was a 4 bed terrace on Villiers worth £695k? I know, usual routine - Mr and Mrs Professionalcouple sell their flat in Camden for £500k+ and bag a (relative) mansion in Hertford for a mere couple of hundred K more. But where will it end? Where will our children be able to afford to live? N...
Re: Drone
Whereabouts in Hertford was it? I've had the odd one hover over our back garden and wondered what it was up to. Not to say I haven't been tempted to see if I couldn't reach it with a bit of 4x2...

Re: Architect
As I have previously posted I could not recommend Hertford Planning. Could just have been one bad experience but had it not been for the experience and patience of our builder in amending their plans into something buildable we would never have got out of the ground with our extension.

Re: Independant garage for japanes cars
You're right Greg. In my layman's experience of the modern car, things are often less than straightforward, even for a niggling fault. I'd agree that it is worth searching out a specialist with the right software, tools etc which seem to be bespoke to each make these days.

Supply and demand...Mandeville road is an area where it has no clue - primarily as you say because there are no sales.
