Not been a lot to say recently as pitch has been under water since Christmas Eve.

But we finally got a game on today and showed off new strikers Leigh Rose and Elliot King who both impressed.

We were losing 1-0 but then Adam Lawton came on and changed things. He netted a disallowed goal and created havoc every time the ball came to the right wing. There was sweeping rain in strong winds and lightning providing a biblical atmosphere. Late goals from Louis Rose and Elliot King, both celebrated jubilantly with stable end fans, clinched victory for the blues.

Just as well we don't have another home game for 3 weeks as it will take that long for the pitch to recover.

Onwards and upwards.

Nearly forgot.....Happy New Year!

Unbelievably, the pitch got a lot worse after the last photo. Lots of damage done to stadium walls, machinery, electricals, carpets and lost income from postponed matches......and a cleaning up job required as soon as it looks like flood risk is over.

But we are keeping our chin ups by opening the bar this Saturday afternoon so we can sell a few beers and burgers and raise a bit of cash while people can play in a darts tournament, watch FA Cup football (Man C. V Chelsea) or just look in amazement at the flooded pitch.

Hope to see you there!

Saw the report on Sky Sports News in the week. Nice to see them taking a interest.

Its off Ridley as I just saw this tweet "We regret that tomorrow night's game v Leverstock Green is off due to a waterlogged pitch. New date to follow" and there is another message where they may need some help!

Our pump is broken and there is a bit more water on the pitch we need to get rid of. Has anyone got one we can use for 2 days? please RT

We hired a pump today which is twice as fast as our own pump. Results are amazing. We have a real chance that Saturdays game against London Colney will be on. Sooooooooooo excited!!!!!!!
