Banned from using a bicycle??
This may indeed sound odd but when we first set up Hertford Town Watch we began to learn the MO of various serial offenders. We used to call one of them 'yellow bike man' and another 'earring man'. You were not allowed to mention names but as the system was refined and improved active offenders who had been arrested and charged and let loose again with a caution or probation order had their photographs circulated and you could refer to these on the radio network by initials. Strange as this might seem if they had committed an offence and were locked up they ceased to be 'active'. At one time we were encouraged to use IC1 etc but as no one really knew what all these terms meant we were allowed to use basic descriptions ie white, asian appearance and so on. Best one was a West Indian chap who was wearing a bright luminous orange T-shirt.

Anyway a lot of low level crime like shoplifting is done by one person stealing the goods in store, handing over to another who quickly disposes of goods by giving them to a third man on bike who is on his heels so to speak v.quickly.

Not saying that this is the reason for MC to be banned for getting on his bike but a bit of info.

Why are they wasting so much money on this lowlife; surely he's not that bright and can be caught without resorting to the expense of the helicopter (and I'd assume without attracting some attention to the aforementioned lowlife).

As a result of the shoplifting offences, and for riding away on bike when requested to stop for police, Cakebread breached his CBO ten times.

Obviously not working then!

They should insert a tracker into his skull, next to his brain - from what I've heard there should be plenty of room :D

Not sure if it was him I saw pelting down Fore Street this afternoon, hotly pursued by a uniform
