Re: New timetable from Hertford North - May 2018
Are they all slow stopping services now?
They all seem 51/52 minutes. I sometimes get the 6.45 and sometimes the 6.57 but the difference between the time it takes is noticeable as the 6.57 stops at every station (and sometimes makes up a few new ones ) whereas these are all similar times.

That's 4-5 trains per hour compared to Hertford East that's a great service!
Re: New timetable from Hertford North - May 2018
Agreed, it is a more frequent service than HFE (I use both) but it is fewer than HFN has now and it is limited to 6 carriages as the underground platforms are only 6 long.
The HFN service is more crowded (further down the line) already so this may get worse.

The new timetable actually has one more service between 6.00am and 10.00am than the current timetable.

Virtually all the HFN services now stop at Harringay and Hornsey (so that the Welwyn trains don't have to!!)Kateg28 wrote:Are they all slow stopping services now?

Re: New timetable from Hertford North - May 2018
I don't understand how they've binned all the fast trains that were in the last stage of the consultation. All they talk about now is frequency but they don't mention that what was three years ago a 42 minute journey (or 45/46 minutes now) is now 52 minutes...

I c that there is a significant number who are under-impressed with the new time table (this site and Twitter). If I was still commuting I would be making my feelings know to https://www.markprisk.com/campaigns/fai ... -commuters who has represented commuters in the discussions on closing the HN/Stevenage link. If people made their views clear to him (suggest ~Twitter) then he might be able to address those concerns with the company.

You won't get a reply from Mark Prisk on twitter, it's all one way traffic.
And he seems to have claimed some sort of part in the Stevenage to Hertford North line not closing when it was supposed to, despite it having nothing to do with his actions.
He's not a big enough cheese to have any influence.

Re: New timetable from Hertford North - May 2018
Currently there are five quick trains in the morning:
624 45mins
645 44mins
713 44mins
746 46 mins
818 45 mins
I've emailed and complained about the changes and the misleading consultation and had a very generic response back. I'll post here when I can. I've also emailed Mark Prisk. I accept that they have to make changes to the timetable but I think the way they've done it has been very misleading as the train times they published in the consultation included fast trains still...
