It would seem that their weeks of tweeting about us planning our journeys in advance fell on their own deaf ears.

To be fair, I worked from home yesterday so didn't get involved in the chaos and it was ok this morning. Left HFN and arrived at MOG as timetabled.

Yes, introducing a whole new timetable has proved tricky.

If you assess this objectively, that isn’t really a surprise.

Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Be patient, think about the long game and smile.

Don’t worry, be happy.

Nobody tried to build Rome in one day though, but that's what Govia tried to do.

Hertford is very lucky. Unlike most towns, we have real competition - two railway stations served by two different operators. If you don't like the service offered by Govia at Hertford North, you can go to Hertford East and use the service provided by Abellio. The two stations are less than a mile apart. Moorgate and Liverpool Street are just 500m apart.

Not for all of us. Going to work via Hertford East would take 40 minutes longer and cost £6 more per day than via Hertford North for me.

The choice is there - but will you stop extolling the virtues of the HFE line - how on earth will I get the privilege of sitting in a first class seat if the whole of Hertford is using the service

It seems that someone at GN Rail has come up with a cunning plan to reduce the time that their twitter team spend answering questions. They have devised a standard response.

This has been tweeted as a reply several times this morning:

"We have cancelled the services we know are not able to be run to give our customers a clearer idea of the travel options available today."

So, that's all good then.
