Razor wrote:Steve - thanks for the reply. The difference is that with "view active topics since last login" it only showed new posts since my last login. Viewing "unread posts" will show me all the topics/posts I haven't read but don't want to. The list will continue to get bigger unless I actually read every post/topic where they won't always be of interest. Have I explained a bit better? It is the "since last login" bit that was the really useful feature
Isn't that what View new posts does?

After a settling in period, I don't like the new forum.
It is slow. Even with a 2point something meg download speed it takes ages to load anything.
It takes more clicks than the old site to read new posts.
And having to get to ten again, well ok, if I must.

We are aware of performance issues with the forum and are working to fix them.

It seems quite patchy, I don't blame admins!
I know how difficult it can be to source stable, quick and good value access to a disparate group of visitors.

Need a "blast from the past" trip down memory lane to how the information super highway was ten years ago?
Then pay a visit to the Hertford On-line Forum :(

We have identified and addressed an issue with the MySQL database. Hopefully the forum will now be a bit quicker!
