Glass/secondary glazing unit disposal

Does anyone have any ideas of who might safely and responsibly collect and dispose of large glass items? We have 3 sash window sized secondary glazing units which we need to dispose of. The council does not dispose of glass, and we have (unsuccessfully) tried freecycle. Thank you!

Yes, would be good for that but in a bigger garden than ours, or indeed in an allotment.

There are notice boards at the allotment sites - it may be worth printing up some signs and pinning them up.
