Sitting in my office with Zane Lowe on in the background when he starts interviewing a young singer/songwriter who was in session at Radio 1 tonight, Turned out he is from Hertford and was in town last night having a drink.
Anybody seen George play live or know him. Seemed a very down to earth lad and i wish him all the best.

Steve I've heard from my daughter that he's back in Hertford and is known to frequent a few of the pubs in town with his friends. Apparently a very well grounded and nice guy.

Great lad, used to work at The Old Barge; his latest album cover has several of his Hertford chums on it. And frighteningly talented :)

He was on the BBC Sound of 2014 long list

Members of the list have gone on to do great things in the past, though I've not been so impressed by the last couple of years...

Who has just reached No 1 in the album charts so many congratulations to him.

My only issue is with the Mercury - going overboard about somebody in a talent contest (I wish her well) but not reporting on a successful artist from the area who is undoubtedly talented. Wake up guys!!
