Hello all,
You may be aware of a Toastmasters club in Ware, called Ware Speakers, a non-profit making organisation helping it's members to enhance their public speaking skills, that may be helpful in confidence, social or work situations, for example if you have to make a presentation to fellow colleagues or a best mans speech.
Well after 3 years, Ware Speakers are changing their name and club meeting location. We will now be known as East Herts Speakers and as of the 5th August will be meeting upstairs in the Salisbury Arms Hotel in Hertford. We meet every first and third Tuesday of the month, at present we have 17 friendly members, but we are always looking for guests to come along and join in.
A new website is in the pipeline, but for the time being you can get more of an idea of our club at http://warespeakers.org/ or you can search Ware Speakers on You Tube.
We look forward to meeting you in our new venue.

Re: East Herts Speakers - Toastmasters
Sorry, I have noticed that I left off a specific detail. We meet every first and third Tuesday of the month from 7:30pm and generally finish about 10pm.
The meetings consist of 2 halves, the first half being 2-3 speakers speaking on a subject of their choice, then there is a 'Just a minute' session where members have a minute to take to the floor and speak on what ever they like (within reason; sex, religion & politics, don't tend to go down too well). The second half features evalutions on the first halves speakers, then a Table topics session, where members picked at random, have 2 minutes to speak on a subject they have no prior warning of. Then the meeting is rounded up by the general evaluator. We then usually stop for a drink afterwards.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We look forward to seeing you at 7:30 on Tuesday 5th August at the Sailsbury Arms Hotel (Upstairs).
