Hertford Town Youth FC

Good news.....

Since our club was founded in 1998 by Hertford Town FC, we have grown to become one of the largest and fastest growing clubs in Hertfordshire. With the introduction of Hertford Town U21 and Hertford Town Ladies we are also growing our stature within both the footballing and local community.

Our continuing expansion means we have far outgrown the limited space available to us around Hertford Town stadium. You may be aware that County Hall Cricket Club have decided to vacate County Hall and merge with another club in Ware. This has created a fantastic opportunity for us and I am delighted to say that we have now secured an agreement with Hertfordshire County Council for us to have use of the playing fields and clubhouse all year round. This will provide us with a base for more social and footballing events, training and matches for all our players in a safe and friendly environment. The County Hall Ground is uniquely placed in close proximity to both the stadium and Hertford town centre and has extensive access to parking.

From the clubhouse at County Hall we will be able to serve hot and cold refreshments and subject to the appropriate licensing approvals we intend to have a licensed bar in the clubhouse. Teams have already began training on certain evenings at County Hall.

We will continue to use Hertford Town stadium, the surrounding land off West Street Hertford as well as our other pitch locations. However the County Hall Ground will provide us with the additional space we need as a club.

We plan to have a Launch Day on Saturday 23rd May 2015 which will involve plenty of football activity.

In preparation for the Launch Day we have began some re-decorating of the clubhouse and we are interested in any parents who have the time and the skills to assist with a number of projects (e.g. electrical works, plumber) . If you are able to help in any way could you please get in contact with Tony Spurrier at treasurer@hertfordtownyouth.co.uk
